Mini Makeup Haul!!

Hi Everybody!

If you follow me on Instagram or Google+, you know I went foundation shopping a little while ago. But what you may not know is that I also did a bit of other shopping :)

I went to Sephora, Mac, and The Body Shop.

I picked up a Fix + from Mac because I've never had it and I want to see if it's worth the hype. I got a few clearance items from the holiday season from The Body Shop (cranberry is one of my favourite scents of life!), and a new brow wiz from Sephora because mine was very close to running out. I went to Walmart on my way home from the mall and couldn't not pick up the Wet n' Wild trio in 'Walking on Eggshells'. It was $3. Like, come on.

More hauls to come very soon!

Thanks!

Makeup Of The Day :)

Hi Everybody!!

Today I used some very basic products for a pretty simple look. The majority are drugstore products with just a couple 'high-end' thrown in.

The products I used (in order) are:
Sephora Concealer Stick in '13'
Revlon Colorstay Foundation in '110 Ivory'
Garnier Skin Renew Concealer in 'Light'
Benefit Bronzer in 'Hoola'
Quo Blush in 'Peach Perfect'
Sephora Highlighter in 'Light Beam'
Anastasia Brow Wiz in 'Auburn'
Wet n' Wild Eyeshadow Trio in 'Walking on Eggshells'
E.L.F. Cream Eyeliner in 'Coffee'
NYX Eyeliners in 'Cashmere' and 'White'
Maybelline 'Rocket' Mascara
Makeover Essentials Lip Palette (the 4th colour from the left... no name for it)

And this is the look all of that stuff created!!

Please forgive my ridiculous hair......Apparently I forgot to look at it

That's all for now! Thanks!

Makeover Essentials Kit

Hi Everybody!

I got this kit as a gift from my beautiful friend, Becka. It's by a brand I've never heard of, but I like it so far. It's called 'Makeover Essentials'.

Sunrise

Sunset

Each palette comes with an eyeshadow trio, lip glosses, and either a blush or a bronzer, and a highlighter. They're perfect for an overnight travel palette, especially for a light wash of colour for the next morning with the 'Sunrise' kit. They're both beautiful and I love them :)

Thanks!

St. Patrick's Day!

Hi Everybody!

I know I'm a couple of days late for this post, but in my defense, I worked on Tuesday until I went out, and I worked first thing Wednesday morning (which was a NIGHTMARE), and when I came home, I napped basically until it was time for bed. I was a tired hungover bitch. But I have today off so here you go!

I celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a few of my closest favourite people :). Obviously my boyfriend, +April Richardson, and her boyfriend started the afternoon by drinking at their house, and went to a pub called Rockhead for the evening portion. Our friends Sarah, Ryan, Shana, Dave, Peter, Zeinab, Nick, Ashley, and a few others joined us there to join in the festivities.

Since we started drinking so early, I was pretty much dead to the world around 11pm and wanted nothing more than to be in bed. I also had to work at 6am the next morning, so I wasn't in the greatest of moods. It was fun while it lasted, but I think for next year I need to book the party AND the following day off so I'm not so god damned tired.

Wednesday morning was hell. I went to work still drunk, and was hungover from about halfway through my shift until the end of my shift. So when I got home, I took a very satisfying nap. When I woke up, it was a little past dinnertime and I woke up to a text that said 'open the fridge and come downstairs'. Wayne had run a few errands while I was asleep, and picking up some sushi was one of those errands. It was probably the best wake up call a girl could ask for :)

Anyway, that's been the past few days for me! How was your St. Patrick's Day??

Thanks!

Mini Getaway :)

Hi Everybody!

I went away overnight with Wayne recently, and I'm just going to share some pictures of where we were :)

We went to Kingsville, which is a little town about an hour away from where we live, and stayed in an Inn that is upstairs from a restaurant called "Jack's Gastropub".

Wayne wanted a beer in the bar downstairs. It's really neat because they try to stick to local or craft beers. They even brew their own on sight! Their brew changes all the time because they only have space for one batch at a time. Their brand is called "The Banded Goose". My guess is because geese represent Canada.

I forget the exact name of the brew, but it had something to do with cranberries. Sorry.

The next morning we had lunch in the pub. All of these record sleeves were nailed to the wall, and it was really cool to look at. They also had some of the music those artists made playing.

After lunch we went to Pelee Island Winery for a tasting and a tour of it. I'd never been on a tour of a winery, and holy shit was it awesome. The barrels in the next picture hold over 7000 litres of wine. Could you imagine??

All of these barrels can only hold something like 300 litres or whatever, but they produce something like 500 bottles of wine each. It was pretty cold down there.

Anyhoo, that's all. It was a lovely time. It was kind of our 'Late Valentine's Celebration'.

Thanks for reading!

Z Palette :)

Hi Everybody!

Because of +April Richardson's tutorial of how to de-pot single eyeshadows in order to put them in an empty Z Palette, I did it myself! Her step by step instructions were extremely helpful, and now I have another beautiful palette to work with rather than using single shadows, which is usually super annoying to keep going back and forth.

The first five shadows on the top row  from left to right are from Jordana Cosmetics, and the rest of the regular sized shadows are from NYX. The super glittery large single is from Essence Cosmetics, and the beige-y large single is from Lorac.

That's all!
