Cosmoprof Haul :)

Hey!!

Ok, so I had to go to Cosmoprof to replace my Olivia Garden brush that I gave to my mom, and this is what I left with.

And I'm happy I did, because this is what I came up with afterwards.

I'm not usually one to do designs or anything on my nails except for painting them all one colour. I was inspired by the back of the boxes of the China Glaze sets.

I legit can't stop looking at my nails. I'm so proud. Even as I type this, I'm seeing the reflection of my nails in the computer screen, and I'm still impressed.

Some lashes are on sale this month for $1.99 a pair, so I just grabbed a couple. These Demi Wispies by Ardell are definitely one of my favourites of all time (aside from the Stilazzi 939's). They're super natural looking, and perfect for something like work or running errands.

I was only there for like 15 minutes, but I couldn't help myself.

And that's all!!

Thanks for reading :)

Bye bye!!

Sephora VIB Sale Haul!!

Heyyyyy!!

As promised, I am sharing with you my Sephora VIB Sale haul :):)

If you read my last post, you know I placed 3 online orders and went in store once to accumulate all of this stuff. It seemed like a lot at the time I was getting everything, but once I put it all in one photo, I didn't realize there were only like 3 major items. I did spend quite a bit of money, though. Thank goodness for tax returns, am I right?

So here is everything I have from this sale :)
I needed a new beauty blender, so I did the math, and this kit made the most sense because it's like I got the cleanser for free. And with 2 of them, I don't need to buy another one for at least a year.
The Anastasia Glow kits have been ALL OVER social media since they launched, and I had my eye on this one since that happened. I figured the 'That Glow' kit was a little too warm for my skin tone, so I went with the 'Gleam' kit because it's cool toned and more pinky in colour, so I can use them as blush toppers and highlights. The packaging is cardboard, but sturdy. It will be nice for travelling purposes.
I knew I wanted this blush palette since I heard Urban Decay was collaborating with Gwen Stefani. The entire collection included an eyeshadow palette, this blush palette, a bunch of lipsticks and lip liners, as well as an eyebrow kit. None of the other items appealed to me, but I knew I had to have this blush palette, and I'm VERY glad I now have it. The packaging is a little bulky, therefore not great for travelling, but it seems sturdy. The outside of it looks like the Connect 4 game, and it has a magnetic closure. Almost all the blushes are warm toned, some might say a couple are even orange, which will be perfect for warm summer looks.
All of these Sephora brand sheet masks will definitely go to good use. Especially the eye masks. I enjoy using these when I have a girls' night with some wine or just by myself if I feel like it. The wine, too :)
These Sephora collection highlight drops have been all the rage lately as well. I'm actually surprised I could get my hands on them. You're supposed to pump the little button on the top of the bottle and there's a dropper mechanism that allows you to control the amount of drops you use. This was very fairly priced, and let's be serious; how many highlighters can one go through in their lifetime? I've only ever hit pan on one highlighter, and I still have A LOT to go through before it's worth throwing out or replacing.
This moisturizer is just a replenishment. I've gone through probably 4 of these. It's a wonderful lightweight daytime moisturizer for me. I like that it makes my face feel moisturized without making it feel like I have a moisturizer on, know what I mean?
I decided to try out this lip stain by Sephora too. Man I got a lot of Sephora collection stuff. I held back when it came to lip products because I'm pretty sure I have the most lip products of anything in my makeup collection, so I didn't want to go overboard. This is in the shade Watermelon Slice, and I figured it would be really pretty for Spring and Summer for a nice pop of colour paired with a bronzy look.
This Josie Maran Argan Oil is a repurchase. I've had it before and I really liked it. I used it as a facial oil at night when I felt like I needed a little extra hydration. I only bought the tiny bottle (which is normally $20CAD) because I really only used 3 or 4 drops at a time, so it lasts a long time.
This Fresh soy cleanser and tiny Peter Thomas Roth were free. The PTR cleanser was given to me during the sale (in store) because I'm a VIB, and the Fresh cleanser was my birthday gift from Sephora. I chose the cleanser because I go through skincare more often than I go through makeup. There were 2 options when it came to the birthday gift from Sephora this year. The other option was a Marc Jacobs mascara and lipstick mini duo. And to be honest, I haven't even gone through last year's Marc Jacobs birthday gift, so I didn't want that again this year.
And we're done. That was actually a lot more than I thought it was. Thank you so much for sticking through it and reading everything if you got to this point.

That's all for now!

Byeeeeeee!!

I've Been Sick :(

Ok, I know I haven't posted anything in like over a week, but to be fair, I've been sick since my birthday last Tuesday (I still have a cough), and I haven't had anything new to post. I haven't taken any photos of my makeup of the day or anything because being sick, I haven't really done anything special. I basically threw my makeup on my face just to get out the door. And over last weekend I didn't even put any on because I was sick.

I did, however, get my hair cut and I dyed it again!! I used Joico K-Pak colour. Half and half 5RM and INRV. I'm keeping up with the red, but I'm thinking about going a little more purple come summertime. I think it will look really nice with a little bit of a tan. As for the cut, it's nothing drastic. I was just tired of it being so dead and really difficult to brush. It is now quite layered with the length being at my armpits. I love the feeling of a fresh haircut, but I always get anxiety when I get it cut because I honestly get my hair cut like once a year. But I'm okay with it for now. I haven't really had a chance to do anything with it as I got it cut over a week ago, and I've only had it down straight twice because I need to have it up for work.

I'm almost ready to share my Sephora VIB sale haul! I'm just waiting on one more package, which I'm picking up tomorrow. I went a little ham this time. I shopped in store once and place THREE online orders. I haven't touched anything I already have. Mostly because I have ridiculous anxiety when I think about ruining the perfection that is a brand new makeup product, but also so I can take pictures while everything is still in it's perfect condition.

Sooooo look forward to that post on the weekend!! And I promise I'll be better keeping up with posts from now on. Especially with all the new makeup I've been accumulating :):)

Thank you!

Bye bye :)

Carli Bybel | BH Cosmetics Palette!!

Hi hi!!

I know I'm super duper late on this train, but I FINALLY got my hands on the BH Cosmetics collaboration with Carli Bybel eyeshadow and highlighter palette!!!

I ordered it last week, and it came in the mail yesterday!! And it's just SO beautiful!! And super inexpensive, too! It's $12.50USD on the website, and shipping was only $5USD! So with the exchange, it only came to around $22! Which is incredibly reasonable considering what is all in this palette!

There are 10 eyeshadows and 4 highlighters, which can double as eyeshadows. The total weight is 47.6 grams, or 1.68 ounces. It's very lightweight, so it's perfect for travel. It has a magnetic closure, and a decent sized mirror (a good quality mirror, too; not one of those circus mirrors you sometimes see inside inexpensive palettes). The front of the palette looks like a gorgeous tufted pillow and has her name written in reflective silver. The back of the palette gives an ingredients list as well as a little excerpt about why Carli made this palette.

The shadows and highlighters are mostly warm toned, which is directly up my alley when it comes to those types of powders. The shadows are about the size of a nickel, and the highlighters are about the size of a silver dollar (for those of you who know what a silver dollar is hahaha), and have an intricate flower imprint on each of them.

And now time for swatches!

First row:

Second row:

Highlighters:

They're nicely pigmented for the most part. I can obviously only use the first 2 highlight shades as actual highlighters. The last 2 shades I will use as eyeshadows. The second shade in the top row (soft pink) is probably the least pigmented shade in this whole palette, but if I spray a little fix + by Mac on my brush before using it, more pigment shows.

All in all this palette is a definite must if you like these kinds of shades and actually unbeatable for the price. Even with the exchange (which is going up in favour of Canadians lately).

That's all for today!!

Thanks for reading!!

Bye bye :):)

Sephora April 2016 VIB Sale Wishlist :)

Hellooooooo!!

If you know anything about the makeup community and Sephora, you know that the VIB sale is currently happening. If you're interested in checking it out, do so here! This sale only happens twice a year. Once in April (which I like to consider my birthday gift from Sephora because my birthday is April 12th), and once in October. Since Sephora is known for having high end cosmetics and products, the fact that they're offering 15% off is a pretty huge deal. And people wait for it in order to buy stuff. People like me.

I've been browsing the website for WEEKS, and these are the accumulated products that I've really had my eye on. In a perfect world where I didn't care about how much money I spent during this sale, these are the products I would realistically buy. And use. I actually would!! There's no way to say when I would use them, but I would..... :)

All photos taken from sephora.ca

All of these products would probably get me to be VIB Rouge status through 2017. But I'm for sure not buying all of them. The Sephora collection brush set is over $500 alone (which is probably actually reasonably priced if you break it down per brush). I feel like skincare items and limited edition items will be high up on my priority list. I'm going to the mall tomorrow, and will obviously visit Sephora to pick up several things. Whatever doesn't happen to be in stock in store I will order online. But there's not way I can actually afford everything I want on this wishlist. That's why it's what I wish for; not what I can afford....

Anyhooooooo!! I'm going to bed. I'll let you all know what I end up buying when I have everything, whether it be from the store or online.

Talk to you soon!!!

March 2016 Beauty Favourites!

Heyyyyyy!!

I'm here to share with you my favourite beauty products for the month of March 2016!

These are the makeup items I've been LOVING in the month of March and have been using the most.

In no particular order, I have:

L'Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation
Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop
L'Oreal Brow Stylist Definer Eyebrow Pencil in Brunette
Wet N Wild Coloricon Blush in Rose Champagne
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Flirtation
MAC Eye Kohl in Costa Riche
Stilazzi 939 False Lashes

The foundation is perfection. Let's be serious. Even though I have combination/oily skin, and this is a very wet foundation, I find this product to be perfect for medium to buildable high coverage without looking cakey and it doesn't make me even more oily throughout the day even thought it's supposed to be a luminous foundation. I have mine in the shade N2, and after using it only a few times, I have already gone out and picked up a backup of it.

If you read my post on the Urban Decay Electric Palette, you should know how I feel about it. If not, go check it out here! Needless to say, I love it. If just for a pop of colour or to make a complete look only involving this palette, it's great.

The Becca highlighter in Champagne Pop has had some loving. Unless you live under a rock, you should know that this highlighter is a collaboration product between Becca and Jaclyn Hill. When I first got it, I honestly thought it was going to be too dark for my skin. Dependent on my makeup look the day I use it, it can be too dark and I normally need to layer my highlight to really make it pop, but when I'm going for more of a natural/bronzy look, it's perfection.

I've been using several different brow products for a long time, and when I found the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, I thought I would never use another brow product. Like, ever. Until this. The L'Oreal Brow Stylist Definer is the BEST eyebrow pencil I have ever used. Bar none. It's not too waxy, it's not too creamy. It has the tiny pencil applicator on one end and a spoolie on the other end. It's literally just perfect.

Wet N Wild isn't found at too many places in Windsor, but I usually get my stock at the Real Canadian SuperStore. I know it's carried at Walmart, but I rarely go there, and RCSS is just around the corner from where I live, so I usually go there. I've had my eye out for the Spring collection with all the pastels, but I haven't had any luck, but I did find the new formulation of their blushes. And I picked up one in Rose Champagne, and I find it to be the perfect nude/rosey/peachy blush that I can wear on natural makeup days because it just gives me a nice flush. It's not matte, but not shimmery. It's more of a satin pink with kind of a rose gold glow to it.

I have the entire line of the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolours, but I can see myself using the shade Flirtation the most this coming Spring. It's a gorgeous bright coral colour that would look incredible on all skin tones. It's perfect for Spring; it's bright, it's fun, it's flirty, and it's colourful. I wore it with a bronzy type look last week and I got SO MANY compliments.

The MAC Eye Kohl was a recommendation by Kathleen Lights. She had said that if you have green or hazel or brown eyes, to get the MAC eyeliner in Costa Riche. So I did. And she was totally right. I'm not one to buy a lot of MAC products. Honestly, I own 5 items by MAC. Not lying. And I only like 3 of them. This is at the top of the list. I use it in my waterline and sometime I tightline with it, and it really makes my green eyes pop. It's a beautiful warm chocolate brown with a reddish tint in it that complements the green in my eyes and really makes them look overly green. It will definitely be a repurchase when I run out of it.

When I went to IMATS last September, I bought a TON of false lashes from the Stilazzi/Frends booth because they were $1. Sadly I only bought one of the 939 style. They ended up being my favourite of the stack that I bought, but luckily for me, the wonderful April had a few backups that she bought at IMATS, so she gave them to me :) and I've been able to continue to enjoy them again!

Aaaaaaand that was the longest post ever. Congratulations if you made it through the whole thing!

PS I'm thinking about holding my very first giveaway. Tell your friends. :)

Thank you so much for reading!!
Talk to you soon!! :)
